2021. Let's get into the mix. Here are your Washington headlines of the day. Number one, how infrastructure

will unfold in the Senate. Number two, debt ceiling showdown. And number three, what the White

House is talking about today. All right, Jake, let's move on to

the number one story of the day. We've been covering the ins, the outs, the ups, the downs.

Infrastructure is happening in the Senate. And we lay out in Punch Bowl News AM pretty clearly

kind of the timeline as both Democrats and Republicans see it now. Yeah, you'll be happy to know or I would be,

I'll be happy to know or unhappy to know is probably the better way to say it, that the Senate is

probably going to be in session until they get rid of this infrastructure bill and a budget resolution.

So we lay out this morning what that will look like

and stick with me here. And if you want to interrupt, please scream because I'm sure a lot of

people will be screaming during this. But we assume that Chuck Schumer will file cloture either

today or tomorrow. What's cloture? It means it cuts off debate on the amendment process.

Amendments have been going on now since kind of like Sunday, I guess, or Monday morning were the first amendment votes.
