As a general rule on enjoying the journey, we simply walk through a book of the Bible, a Bible character, a portion of scripture.

Because I really believe that the greatest way to address life's questions is simply to walk through the word of God,

line upon line, precept upon precept. God understands us better than we understand ourselves.

The power of Scripture to meet the deepest needs of our life, sometimes the needs we don't even

recognize that we have. I believe we're seeing again

week after week, simply walking through the word. Periodically, we take a few days and we

address current questions and Bible answers. I think all of us would agree that we're living

right now in an age of questions. Now, questions are good.

There are opportunities to teach.

They're not bad.

Thinking people have legitimate questions.

But part of what is going on in our world right now

is that the questions are getting more complicated.

And let me explain to you why.

It is not because simply technology has advanced or civilization

has grown. It is because sin deteriorates everything. Sin is what complicates everything.

And so we're living in a fallen world. We're surrounded by fallen people, we are ourselves fallen creatures, which means

that we must again and again return to the truth of the Word of God, to the wisdom of the

Lord, because only the simplicity and sufficiency of Scripture can cut through the complexities of the questions we're dealing with.

I'd like to begin this few days that we're going to spend together on these current questions

and Bible answers by simply laying a little foundation, if I may.
