Thanks for listening. So today on Ask Dr. Kim, we got the question, should I get married if I've

never lived in the same city as my fiance? It's a great question.

It's something that we've actually talked about a lot because we have a lot of listeners and fans who are

doing the long distance thing. So Dr. Kim, what are your thoughts? Well, one, I think doing long

distance now is easier than it's ever been with social media with Skype, Zoom, things like that,

where you really can have a lot of contact.

You're not like the old days for someone wrote a letter and it came and three days later

you write one back and all that kind of stuff.

You can have so much more contact now, which is really good.

And I think you can get to know each other very well.

But I think there is something about just living

in the same vicinity with the person. You get to see each other more. You get to see each other in

different situations. You know, really, if you're just doing Skype or Zoom or something like that,

you can put on your best front all the time. I mean, you don't talk about important things,

we don't share important things, but I think there's just something about living and spending more

time together, seeing how that person is when they, after a day of work, different situations like

that. So I think the cons outweigh the positive things, and I always encourage couples,

because if you get

married, eventually you're going to have to live in the same city anyway. So if you're that committed

to it, at some point, I think it's good to whoever's going to move, it's time to make that move,
