So we're back with Tobias Peg of square roots grow and if you listen to yesterday's episode you'll have an understanding of what they do. They grow vegetables, herbs, greens, in shipping containers, but they do something that's very unique in that they're employing

a lot of big data, they're recording a lot of data on almost every

sort of variable that goes into growing plants, and then they're using an AI back end to make

automatic adjustments and also sort of surface new

revelations on how to grow plants. And so that's what we're going to dive into in

today's episode because I don't really have a strong background in that and Tobias has an extremely

strong background in that that's actually where he came from that world and so it's

very fascinating it does get a little technical a little little nerdy, as you can tell.

I'm not only a gardener, but I'm also very much a sort of science-minded,

computer-minded individual, and I'm really nerding out on this with Tobias.

So I hope you'll forgive me for that.

I hope it's interesting, and let's go ahead and drop right into it.

Talking about that and going a little deeper I think into the growing method because I totally

understand what you're saying about the model right the model and you kind of you're having to

Control for or at least take into account so many different factors not just as far as like the growing technology, but also the economics of it,

the location, the geography, all of that stuff. But I kind of wanted to zoom in on exactly how you guys have designed the shipping containers because I don't

know if we mentioned it earlier but it's it's shipping containers that these

farms are operating and is that right?

Yeah that's right so yes we have a hydroponic system in there.

You know most of your listeners will be sort of very familiar right with that concept and you know the sort of the magic if you like the the IP there is the data science that is

happening in the background that right so the farms are all cloud connected.

We're capturing signals as we would say,
