In this episode, director James Gray tells a deeply personal coming-of-age story in his new drama, Armageddon Time. The film follows Paul, a Jewish-American sixth grader, who finds

himself learning about racism and privilege against the backdrop of 1980s Queens.

In addition to Armageddon time, Gray's other directorial credits include the feature films

Ad Astra, The Lost City of Z, The Immigrant, We Own the Night, and an episode of the television

series The Red Road. Following our screening of the film at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles, Gray spoke with

director Matt Reeves about filming Armageddon time.
