In today's episode, two reporters uncover the story of a lifetime in director Maria Schrader's biographical drama, she said.

The film recounts the true story of how New York Times reporters Megan Tui and Jody Cantor

broke one of the most important stories in a generation, one which unveiled decades of silence

on the subject of sexual assault in Hollywood, and help launch the Me Too movement.

In addition to She Said, Schrader's other directorial credits include the feature films, Love Life,

Steffenzweig Farewell to Europe, and I'm Your Man, and the miniseries on Orthodox.

Following a screening of the film at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles, Schrader spoke

with director R.J. Cutler about filming, she said.

As we all remember so well what happened in the wake of it.

Also in my country, I'm from Germany.

I had no idea who these women were, who Megintui was, who Jodi Kenta was.
