Where are you from originally?

Originally, it's hard to say. I've kind of been very eclectic in my upbringing.

I was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, but I grew up, I guess, my formative years was in Oklahoma.

So, if you hear a little bit of an accent that's still hanging on, that's where that's from.

And then, I was with AT&T for a number of years and part of being upwardly mobile was their requirement to be geographically mobile.

So, they moved me all over the place and lived in a lot of different cities and states in the United States.

And then, I'm in Henderson, Nevada now.

How did you go then from working a normal job traveling around to get into personal development?

Well, I've always been a quirky, interesting person.

And I grew up in the household of a Protestant minister in the buckle of the Bible belt.

And I have the utmost respect for Christian beliefs, as well as every belief.

And yet, I wasn't getting answers to the questions that I was asking.

I started, believe it or not, I started studying Buddhism when I was 18 years old in Tulsa, Oklahoma, down the street from Oral Roberts University in the House of a Protestant minister.

And that set me on a path of what you refer to as personal development, personal performance.

And I started voraciously reading and studying everything.

I was a very insecure and introverted child.
