This is the 54th episode of the RTCoach podcast and it represents our first anniversary edition.

In this episode, I celebrate the journey of our first year of podcasting, sharing some of the sweet moments, some lessons learned, and give a view of what to look for in 2022 and beyond.

The first episode of the RTCoach podcast, episode 1-001, was recorded in April 2020 and was pre-released in August of 2020 following the premature death of our first guest and my dear friend Richard Bosworth.

Richard was a tech UK chair and he had an active coaching practice in South Africa. Richard was one of the early pioneers of telecoaching.

He was a disciple of Thomas Leonard, the RV coach, and truly one of the early promoters of the field of coaching as a business forum.

Richard traveled from the UK to the US to hear Thomas Leonard speak and ignited a passion Richard to do more, be more and help so many people.

Richard was so delightful and insightful, sage, woody and inspiring.

Our podcast interview captured his character, his species being, and truly honored the greatness and wisdom of Richard.

Sadly, four months after he recorded the episode, Richard Bosworth, who had beat cancer, died of ongoing heart complications in August of 2020.

I was devastated. As he was to so many others, Richard was a dear friend of mine and his passing hit me harder than most.

As a tribute to Richard and his family, I put together an extended play episode of our podcast interview and made it available to his family and friends and followers at the time of his passing.

Later on in November 30, 2020, we re-released Richard's episode as episode 1001 of the podcast.

And it is indeed a tribute to have Richard's interview lead off what has become a strong lineup of great coaches and coaching topics.

As we close out our first full year of podcasting, we have previously released 53 episodes reaching executive coaches, business leaders, book authors, researchers, and key coaching topics.

Now, at the end of the year, we are celebrating this first anniversary of the Arctic Coach podcast by reviewing some of the great insights, lessons learned, and learning as we have discovered in our first year.

I started the Arctic Coach podcast to create a community founded on research-based learning, collaboration, and inspiration for today's executive coaches.

Approximately 70% of the podcast are interviews with great executive and business coaches.

And 30% of the episodes are interviews with book authors and special issue topics such as inflation, the great resignation, returning to work, the changing workforce, leadership, transitions of family businesses, the social costs of COVID and many different aspects, mental health effects of COVID and how to resolve that.

And powerful questioning episodes.
