Are you successful at something that you don't love?

Is your day job, for example, maybe something that you like?

Maybe it's a five or six out of ten,

maybe higher, maybe lower, but you stick to it because it feels safe and because you know it's responsible and that's what we do as

adults and it just so happens too that you're really good at it

even though there isn't necessarily love, passion, or a huge intention behind it.

I was having this conversation very recently with two women in Miami who are very successful in the real estate space and I know them personally and we were having a conversation about what their passion is.

So if you meet me in real life, one of the first questions I love to ask someone is, you know, what's your passion?

And I will admit, and it's sad to me, the very rarely is their passion and what they do every day, the same thing. You can meet an accountant for

an example who is their passion is singing or you can maybe meet a lawyer and their passion is

you know working helping families eat healthier food.

Like it's so incredible how many dimensions there are to a human and our desires and skills

and talents that often just simply don't fit in a box,

much less the box that our current career requires.

So this isn't a business conversation here, this is not a push for you to make any changes, but it is a question that I want to ask you because there is a lot of logic here when we look at it objectively.

So I can tell you in my own experience, you know, when we look at it objectively.

So I can tell you in my own experience, coming from the tech sector, having an

over decade long career in that world, I was very successful at it, how that's defined in traditional in a traditional sense, right?

So I hit my targets, made great money, year after year was climbing climbing,

and I liked my job, right? I was certainly very appreciative of all of the benefits.
