Are you having one of those days? We all have them. Some time ago, someone said to me,

do you ever have a bad day? And I laughed at them. And I said, of course I have difficult days.

Everybody has difficult days. Why do you ask that? And this particular person said to me,

well, I just don't see you posting many negative things

on social media and talking about difficulties and that kind of thing and I said to this person

that's because I made up my mind early on that I wasn't going to to air all that to everybody else

I was just going to talk to God about it I learned that

people couldn't help me through those moments only God could help me through

those moments that when you're having one of those days the best thing you can do

is go to God with it and that's exactly what the psalmist does in Psalm 88 and

I've got to tell you if you just at a cursory glance, look at Psalm 88, you're going to say,

this is not one of my favorites because it is a dark note. It is a minor chord, if you will.

Whoever the psalmist is, and whatever the psalmist is dealing with, he's having one of those days.

Listen to the psalm,, oh Lord God of my salvation,

I've cried day and night before thee. Let my prayer come before thee, incline my ear into my cry,

for my soul is full of troubles, and my life draweth nigh under the grave. I'm counted with them

that go down into the pit. I am as a man that hath no strength.

Those words caught my attention, no strength. He's at the bottom. He's full of trouble and

empty of strength. He says in verse five, free among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave,
