All right, we are continuing in the book of Acts.

We are in chapter number 13 and we are coming right off the heels of a big sermon

that the Apostle Paul taught to people by their invitation.

And he was connecting all the dots between Jewish history and the coming of Jesus as their Messiah.

In verse 44, it says the next Sabbath, so the next day of worship,

almost the whole city gathered to hear the word of the Lord.

But when the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy and began to contradict

what was spoken by Paul, reviling him.

And Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, saying,
