Today we're going to talk about a very common and controversial technique in negotiations,

And so let me tell you up front that this is a strategy that I do not subscribe to.

But it's important for us to review these strategies, even if we don't plan on using them,

because someone could use it against us, and we need to know how to protect ourselves in those circumstances.

So what is bluffing?

Bluffing is a threat to do something that you don't plan on doing.
