So was your walking this week impacted by the wildfires, the smoke from the Canadian wildfires?

So perhaps you've seen the news, perhaps you've been impacted by these wildfires in Canada.

There's hundreds of them burning around the Quebec area, and they've been burning for months,

but this week the winds shifted in such a way that it sent the smoke into the United States,

the Northeast, the Mid-Atlantic, even some of the southeastern states here in South Carolina.

We haven't really had the smoke, although North Carolina was getting some of it.

But it got so bad that, and maybe you saw the pictures out of New York in particular,

the sky was orange.

I mean, it was crazy.

It was also dangerous for a lot of folks.

Got an email from Leah, who was in one of the states, that is impacted by the smoke.

Not too terrible.

And she was able to get out and walk, and she sent me some pictures of the hazy sunshine where she is.

We have a family text group, and my son, who's in the Marines, lives in Quantico, Virginia. A few days ago,

he texted the group and said, it's hazy and I can smell the smoke. And his sister who lives

in Florida really hadn't been following the news because it's not impacting her at all.

And she said, oh my, how long is this going to last?

And her other brother, one of her other brothers in California,

said, you might want to check the Canadian wildfire schedule for the answer to that.
