Before we get into today's podcast, I just want to give you a heads up. Recently, I sat down with

Elizabeth, my wife, and Diane, and we had a lovely conversation about gender roles in marriage,

particularly a woman's role in marriage. And if you've been listening or following along,

you know that we've been doing a little mini series on this. And last week, we touched on

husband's roles in marriage. And now we're talking about a wife's role or a woman's role in marriage.

It was such a lovely conversation, but it was a very long conversation. And so because it was so rich

and good, we actually decided to make this a two-part episode. So we're going to release half of the

episode today, which is really foundational on terms. And we are going to then release next week,

the six ways for wives to reflect and ask themselves questions on the particulars of

what it looks like to be a wife in marriage and what is your role in marriage specifically. So
