| 0:34.2 | Yes, sir. About to do another. Actually, we're not going to do a listener in Q&A. |
| 0:38.0 | We're going to do a little something different today. We are going to do overrated, underrated. So I posted this on my Instagram stories and asked you guys to just throw out a bunch of subjects. And then I would let you know if I think they're overrated or underrated. So let's get to it. Let's get to it. First one is stretching. |
| 0:55.6 | Stretching is overrated. So let's get to it. Let's get to it. First one is stretching. |
| 0:55.8 | Stretching is overrated. |
| 0:59.5 | A lot of times when people think that they're tight, they're actually just weak. |
| 1:03.7 | So weakness is kind of disguised as tightness sometimes. |
| 1:09.4 | And then like I was just literally talking to a friend of mine the other day. |
| 1:12.5 | He doesn't know that much about health and fitness and whatnot. And he was like, yeah, I think I just got to start stretching before I lift. And I was like, no, no, no, that's not the way. I was like just start like basic strength training and then your mobility and your flexibility is going to improve. |
| 1:30.1 | You're better off. I was like, just start like basic strength training and then your mobility and your flexibility is going to improve. |
| 1:29.8 | You're better off stretching under load, meaning like instead of putting your foot up on a table and reaching, do a Romanian deadlift. |
| 1:39.9 | That's going to improve your hamstring flexibility more than just reaching, you know? |
| 1:43.5 | Like if your chest is super tight because you sit like this all day, like most people do, and you're staring at your phone and you're typing, where your chest isn't going to get much better just by doing this doorway stretch all the time, it's going to get better by increasing your range under load, pressing, you know, things like that, or even just doing push-ups with a nice stretch position. So that's really what I would do. |
| 2:06.6 | So I think stretching in general is overrated. |
| 2:10.9 | Okay. You got you. The phrase game changer. |
| 2:16.0 | I already know what you're going to say. |
| 2:19.6 | That's a pretty good one. Yeah. |
| 2:20.5 | It's definitely overused and overrated. |
| 2:23.0 | People use it for anything now. |
