Hello and welcome to Bible stories. We are your hosts, Matt Mullins.

Hello. My name is Todd Heymans, and hey, we are two ministers slash buds who love telling

the stories of the Bible. And Matt and I, we got together, we put our minds together. What

a exciting time for us. And we decided it was time to launch a new

series. We got super creative, or we're calling it big questions. We were just talking through and

thought, you know what, there are some big questions that folks have, questions that come up in

culture and that we've even encountered in our combined like 50 years of

ministry. And we want to address some of those. And we're going to get back to Bible stories.

But today, here's the question. Are my family members in heaven watching out for me?

Are my family members? Are they watching me? Do they know what I'm doing? Are they up there

cheering me on? Are they maybe even making a difference? Are they influencing things that are

happening for me right now? My mom's mom, Mallee Allen Mercer, was a saint. She was the best. I called her

nanny. She was four foot 10 and really spunky.

And when she got really old, she would do this little thing. And we're going to get there

hopefully one day, Todd, where when she stood up, a little toot would come out, just a little

too. Yeah, we're there. We're there. Yeah. And then she turned around and just smile at me because she knew, like I knew.

And it was, yeah, a little wink, a little nod.

Wink.

Yeah.

She was just the sweetest, funniest lady.

And I know that I'm going to see her again.

And man, wouldn't it be nice if Nan was watching me right now?
