Who love telling the stories of the Bible.

And hey, if you're following with us, we are about to jump into a part two story of King Hezekiah.

Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Todd, how are you? Doing well, man.

Got Mother's Day coming up. By the time this releases, I guess Mother's Day has happened.

So doing a little search this weekend. We want to honor mom and celebrate her.

All the moms. How are you? What's happening? I'm good. I've got, if you need a Mother's Day gift, I was doing some yard work this morning. I came into a den of roly polies in case you want to send some. Oh, my goodness. Your mom's way, Miss Linda's way. Yeah, a little roly pulley necklace. Oh, that's so sweet.

Uh-huh.

We're here to talk about Hezekiah, who was, we brought him up last week.

It's a quick reminder, he was a god-fearing king of Judah.

He was the son of a wicked king, a guy named King Ahaz, who did some pretty reprehensible things.

And we'll talk about this here probably later, Todd. Remind me if I don't bring it up, but Ahaz was under pressure. And when he got under pressure, he began to, as the Bible describes it,

he sacrificed to these pagan gods in the high places,

so up literally, physically high places where there were altars set up,

on the hills, so a little lower

and under every green tree is how the Bible described it so as he has pressure from the army

the Assyrians kind of breathing down his neck he bows to it and is trying to find any kind of

hope and any kind of false god that he can. And this is like totally

different than how Hezekiah did things. Ahaz did things like shut down the worship of God and replace

him with idols. He performed child sacrifice. He worshipped false gods and did so literally everywhere.
