Okay, let's tear through some news items here.

James Magold is heading to the small screen to adapt his 1997 movie Copeland for television.

He's going to co-write, direct, and executive produce this TV version of that story.

And I remember liking that movie a lot when I saw it 20-ish years ago. And it's streaming now

on Paramount Plus and Hoopla if you want to check it out. I feel like I'm due for a rewatch for that

one. So I feel like the premise of that movie, which is about a town that's just over the border into New Jersey,

where a bunch of New York cops kind of like run the town and do dirty business, basically,

is pretty ripe for a TV adaptation.

I think that could work out pretty well.

So fingers crossed on that.

Meanwhile, Josh Rubin is co-writing and directing Heart Eyes 2, the sequel to the horror romance that he released last year.

If you missed that conversation, deadline says that Olivia Holt will be reprising her role as Allie.

So that's good news for fans of the original movie. and that's set to come out on February 11th, 2028, just in time for Valentine's Day.

Benedict Cumberbatch is going to star in and produce a TV series called White Smoke for A24, and this sounds really fun.
