Hey everybody, it's Wednesday. I'm Kay Sunglic Skombe and welcome to Radio Headspace.

0:21.9

This week I'm answering some of the daily questions that I receive. Today's question

0:26.6

goes as so. I'm finding myself in what I guess you could consider a mid-life crisis,

0:34.3

particularly feelings of disappointment in myself, even though most would consider me successful.

0:41.3

I feel like I don't know who I am and I'm bored with the monotony of life.

0:46.4

I know I want adventure, but I can't even figure out what adventures I'm looking for.

0:51.4

So my question for you is this, is there some type of meditation that I can do to help with these feelings?

1:40.9

are disappointed in yourself even though most would consider you successful. I'm curious as to what

1:47.8

one has to do with the other. Maybe you haven't lived up to the expectations you've set for yourself.

1:54.0

In which case, it may be helpful to think about where those expectations are coming from.

1:59.2

It could be your parents, things in your childhood, or pressure from the people in your social

2:04.7

circle. One way to put things in perspective is to practice gratitude. You can do a gratitude

2:12.1

meditation by simply taking a pause to ask yourself every day what you're grateful for.

2:18.8

And the answer can be something small, like a cup of coffee, or that you had a safe ride home.

2:26.3

And the more you practice gratitude, the easier it will be to feel grateful for both big and small

2:33.5

accomplishments. On the other hand, your disappointment could refer to a very specific aspect of
