John and I wanted to make a quick announcement, and I'll just cut to the chase and say we're taking a hiatus from the podcast.

Probably for the month of January.

It's just too much on our plates. I'll leave it at that.

We are not up for the job right now.

And one of the nice things about having an independent podcast with no bosses and no network is not only do you have not much money, but you also have the freedom to decide that if you're not, if you don't feel like you can do a good job, then you take a break and recharge.

So that's what we're going to do.

And hopefully we'll be back in February.

I'm sorry to

miss sharing and analyzing all of the wonderful news coming out of Venezuela and the Twin Cities,

among other places. But hopefully there'll be more good news to celebrate in February. In the meantime,

maybe next week we'll start posting like old Patreon episodes or field recordings

or we'll figure something out. But anyway, we didn't post an episode last week, and I can't

remember if we had an episode the week before that. We didn't want to just go radio silent and

have everyone wondering what had happened to their two favorite podcasters. So I just wanted to

make this quick announcement. Thanks, as always, for you guys'

support and understanding. It means a lot to both of us. And to all the listeners in the Twin Cities,

man, you've really been on my mind and in my heart, and I just really am sending love and

best wishes to you guys.

What you guys are going through is absolutely appalling.

It's so shameful.
