And I'm Leslie Allen. I'm the mobility editor for Automotive News.

So I've been thinking that since we formed this podcast a few months ago, this is officially a mobility

podcast and we have been really focused lately on automated vehicles and

self-driving technology.

That is a subset of mobility, but it is not the whole umbrella.

So I think today maybe we should branch out a little bit into other modes of mobility. What do you think about that idea? I think that's a great idea and I suggest we look up this time. Well in that case I would like to introduce our guest today, Dr. Anidesen Gupta who is the co-founder and

chief product officer at Air Space Experience Technologies better known as Air Space

X a Detroit company that is pioneering personal air transportation.

Now from its base at the Detroit City Airport,

Air Space X has been developing its first full-scale prototype of the Moby One.

Now the Moby One Pete, as you know, is an electric vertical and

takeoff tilt wing aircraft or, as they say in the business, E. V.

O'L.

Of course we should mention that designing the Moby One

is only the latest project for Anita.

Previously, she's been at NASA where she developed

the supersonic parachute that landed the Curiosity Rover on Mars in 2012.

She has also led the Cold Atom Laboratory for the International Space Station and more recently worked at Hyperloop.
