You know, man, you're right about Christmas time, whether you like Christmas movies or not,

which generally speaking, I don't. There's a few decent ones. But I don't actively try to watch them. I probably see 40 of them. But the one I cannot escape and I do not enjoy it is the freaking sound of music. And I will tell you right now, my wife loves that movie, her sisters love that movie, her mother loves this movie. If you open your mouth and comments on any of the stupidity going, like, why do they keep freaking singing? What is wrong with this family? Just answer the question without a goddamn song. This is not the thing to say at all. And one year I'm at the in-laws. So all of the female in-law, they're watching the sound of music in another room. I'm playing cards with my brother-in-law and my father-in-law. And we are, we're acting like guys. We're saying some very, very colorful language to each other, depending on what's going down. The look that we got for my mother-in-law, like she walked out of this living room, she's staring at us, and we're not really tracking, because we're a couple beers deep, you know what me, we're having a good time. And she's just like, we are trying to watch the sound of music and the language that you boys keep using is very distracting. That's all she had to say. It's like somehow you just knew like, we should quiet down before she kills us. I hate that movie in every freaking year. Not only does my wife watch him. She sings all the songs because she knows all the work. Is there a certain time where you do this? You mean like time of day? Yeah. I mean just it's always on at night it's always

during Christmas traditionally that was the thing right is it a Christmas movie so it has

1:32.3

nothing okay right nothing to do with Christmas it does to do with the German

occupation 60s in the 70s I guess is that when they started showing it or Christmas

1:40.0

it would show it on Christmas night is that what I never really heard of it until you

1:43.7

started bringing to her family.

1:45.1

It's four hours.

1:46.8

All right.

1:47.0

They started showing it as like a, so that's how it became a Christmas movie.

1:51.5

And there's nothing about Christmas in it.

1:53.7

It's about the Nazi occupation man and the family.

1:57.5

I'm like, they're against it.

1:58.6

You're rooting for them.

1:59.6

But I'm like, I can root for you without you singing constantly.

2:19.4

That's all they do. And look, I know you're supposed to like the family. The kids piss me off. And Gretto, like, F you, shut up. Stop. Even when I go to bed, right? There's a scene where the dad's like, hey, off to bed. he's a real stern, right? So he's just like, hey, kid, it's time to go to bed.

2:18.2

Cool.

2:18.6

That should be the deal. Each kid has to sing something before they go up the stairs and they do it in order. Right. And so for me, just as a dude who wants to watch a movie where, I don't know, a robot shoots someone in the face with a laser while they're in space. this is horrible.

2:34.7

I guess there is a scene where they exchange gifts.

2:37.7

What'd be freaking dude. It's four goddamn hours. I'm sorry. I'm not trying to sound like that. It's not a bad movie. It is not a movie for me. And you're watching it on TV? Oh, yeah. So that makes it worse.

2:51.2

So there's commercials in between. No, no, no, no. Oh, it's straight through. That makes it better. Because if I watch it without commercials, then it's probably three hours of just straight saying. So at least with the commercials, honest to God, for me, it's a reprieve. You'd rather just go straight. I would rather break it up and stretch it out.

3:08.5

Brother Sir, have you watched the movie?
