As some of you may know, I live part-time on a lake in Massachusetts.

It's a really beautiful place.

And I live among nature, which always makes me happy and feel at peace.

And I have these two trees in my yard that were right on the shoreline.

One day I came back to my place and I noticed that those birch trees were down.

One of them was gone and the other one was just tipped over into the water.

And I examined the base of the trees and I saw that they had been,

there were little tooth marks they had been, there were little tooth marks,

they had been nod at.

And the one that was still remaining

looked to be in an hourglass shape

as if it had been nod to the point where somebody gave up, gnawing it.

And I realized that the culprit was a little rascally beaver, a big beaver probably,

because this tree was pretty substantial and and then I started doing a little more

beaver research and I found that one of their favorite types of trees to eat, they eat the park are birch trees.

They love the birch trees.

And I've since noticed other trees in my yard

near the property having been felled.

And one recently a couple months ago

was just taken away. you see little light it almost

looks like little sawdust little scraps right right at the base of this stump

well they are industrious little creatures they are and they are a huge they are they are hugely important to an ecosystem, to our country, to the founding of our country,
