All right, folks, today is Friday, November the 7th. Let's get into today's news and

conversation. Now, actually, I have two things I want to accomplish today. First is, it's Friday.

And I kind of like using Friday to have a slightly less serious discussion, although I'm

going to fail miserably at that by the end of today's podcast episode, because there's some really

heavy shit we got to talk about. But I figured I could at least try to inject some joy into the beginning

of the podcast because why not? It's Friday. Now, you all should just know that as a result of this

election, the joy of New Yorkers right now is palpable, honey. It is, you can feel it. It oozes out of us. Right now, I'm actually at

a political conference with a whole bunch of New Yorkers, and I can tell you right now, we are

bigly happy, hugely happy, along with, I think, everybody else in the country who is still

sort of basking in the realities of the blue wave that hit on Tuesday. Now, this is not to say that we are not crystal clear about the fact that it's still a whole lot

of fuckery going on.

Like the fact that half of us might not make it back on our scheduled flights because y'all's

president and Sean freaking, I don't know how to fly a plane or direct to the federal

aviation agency, real world Duffy, because yes, our federal aviation agency head

is Sean Duffy, who appeared on the real world, who many of us may remember from back in like

the mid-90s when he was showing his ass on TV, literally and figuratively. But he has no qualifications.

And ever since he has been in this position after the inauguration, planes done falling out the the sky, it's done being crashes, it's been a whole lot of bullshit. And now we're seeing reports that because of the freaking shutdown, which the Republicans triggered, because they refused to both restore all of the cuts that they made to the social safety net, which would allow people to eat and have medical care. Because they refused to do that. The Democrats are like, fine, do this shit on your own. We're not going to help you destroy the entire economy for everybody who's not a part of the 1%. And as a result of that, like the flights are being canceled. TSA is like, we've had it. We're no longer going to be going to work with no pay, literally paying to go to work with no pay. Y'all figure it out. I saw videos

where in Houston airport, the TSA was like, we out, we're going home. And it was like a four hour

wait because it was like a handful of people who was like, I mean, I guess we'll help y'all.

But basically, flyers and passengers, they were like, they were on their own, completely on their

own. But this is going to be an issue that is now being spread because we got reports that
