You're looking around a little.

Yes, you.

This episode is about the way you, very possibly, as a member of the society we live in,

grind, work, toil, push yourself.

Do more for your employer, for other people, for just about everyone in the world,

except yourself. Granted, I haven't met everyone listening to the show. I don't know your

individual circumstances. But I think a whole lot of people, and maybe you, are in a position

where you give more than you can really afford to give.

And then you begin to lose yourself and suffer.

This can happen in a job, in school, in relationships.

In our society, we worship the grind.

We think it's virtuous to essentially wear our working fingers down to the nubs,

to break our backs. So the interview this week is about one person's work ethic and the high price

she is paid as a result of it, how she's resetting, how she's looking at her situation,

trying to get her life back on track,

and then she'll deal with her job.

It's healthy.

She could be you.

She happens to be a singer in a really great band.
