Today, I'm chatting with one of my favorite beauty content creators, Amy Chang.

Better known to her half-million Instagram and 1.6 million TikTok followers as BOM on a VAM,

Amy shares beauty tips, product reviews, and life experiences with her incredibly engaged audience.

Most recently, she even shared her highly personal adoption story, which went viral,

garnering over 11 million views.

All of this started back in 2016 when Amy created her blog and Instagram, and by the time TikTok rolled around in 2019,

Amy was quick to adapt to the new platform and her account took off.

But, back before she was serving up beauty tips and tricks for all of us to enjoy,

she actually began her career in PR, working at Bullfrog and BOM,

and even went on to take on clients of her own as a freelance publicist.

It has been quite the journey to land where she is today, and Amy is wonderfully candid about that process.

So, Amy, we like to start at the beginning on this podcast, so what did you study in school

and much more importantly, what did you think you were going to be when you grew up?

Oh my god, if we're going to really take it back, I was probably four or five years old,

and at that time, my parents were getting national geographic magazines sent to the house,

and there was one, and I still clearly, as day remembered, this issue,

they had cut open a man's skull, and you could see the brain.
