America has always been a diverse nation because it is made up of all kinds of people from

all over the world who have brought their traditions and cultures with them.

In the year 1900, there were many types of people living in America in a wide range

of living situations and economic circumstances.

That was true then and it is true now.

At that time in our country's history, there was a huge influx of immigrants coming here

from all over the world, which meant there were many children arriving with their families.

In this episode, we are going to take a look at the way some of these immigrant children

and their families lived when they got here to America.

We are also going to learn about what life was like for many children who lived in what

was considered the middle economic class.

We will learn about what life was like for the children who were part of the upper class

or the more wealthy families of that time.
