cast this one is one that I think many of you will enjoy because it's a bit of the political

junkie focused type of podcast. I'm going to go through the battleground states with

one of my favorite long-time political reporters who have known forever,

Mark Z. Baraback of the LA Times.

He actually just finished up a series where he could deep dives into all of the key battleground

states, particularly out west, where he has spent in Arizona,

but even like dug deep into Colorado, New Mexico, two states that, you know, literally a blink

of an eye ago were swing states and they aren't now but it's a good way of trying to

understand you know what makes a swing state a swing state what's happening there is

some commonality with what's going on there and look we're at a year out right and you know one of the most

common questions I get whether I'm at the grocery store or show up on somebody else's

podcast or somebody else's radio shows, well what's going to happen between

Biden and Trump, right? And it's usually some form of, well first is, is it really

going to be Biden and Trump? Can't there be anybody else other than Biden and

Trump? And then, you know, you go through that machination, well you know you could be

they see this you could see that yada yada yada. I answer the question this way. Well look I

think ask me again on Labor Day and the reason I say that is is come the end of

the summer and we indeed go through the conventions and it's Biden and Trump then yes

I have an idea I think we all know there's going to be six states

that this comes down to maybe a seventh or an eighth if you want to tack on North Carolina or
