I describe the different types of segments we do as relates to information gathering.

As some things are newspapers and some things are magazine and the newspaper is the story of the day.

But if all you're ever getting is the story of the day,

then you don't get the bigger picture.

And for those of you, when Texas Monthly, before they went just crazy liberal Texas

monthly used to do a great job at stepping back from a story that you're getting a

daily hit on and looking at the overall arc of the story and what it means, a bigger

picture.

Well, what I do almost every day when I finish the show is I will call one or more show sponsors

and they're experts in their industry and I'll ask them about their industry. What are the trends?

Because it helps me do my job better, gives me perspective,

but I also like to learn. I'm curious, and I think curiosity is a good thing.

So what I thought we'd do is talk to two different show sponsors we have today who happen to

be experts in their field.

Or should I say two experts in their field who happen to be show sponsors. One in commercial
