Most of the folks you know of as home builders are production home builders, and there's nothing wrong with this.

They build homes and you go in and you want that one or you want that one.

And that's it. You might get to check it you might get to pick your your colors or

change a thing here and there but the overall feel of the home the actual home

itself you're not getting to customize.

The building of a custom home is for most couples a pinnacle because you started an apartment and you moved to another apartment and you

started a little bit tiny home which is all you could afford and you kind of

move up and about the time the kids are leaving high school and you're becoming

empty nesters is the point where you build the home you wish you always had and that's going to have every room you always wanted.

Mike Figen does that and that's a tough business. I mean I think in many ways it's easier to just build a home and

say take it or leave it and you know we'll do a walkthrough and and here's your

punch list but let's not get crazy right you know what you got. For DTH.com and a true custom home builder, for you to maintain your

reputation as they have for 30 years, you got to make it perfect and that's people expect perfect and that's a high standard.

And does it cost more? Yeah, but it's a high standard. I wouldn't want to be in that business.

That's tough. Mike Feigen, I had a couple more questions and I know

you've got to get to a meeting, but two things I want to talk to you about. Lighting controls and

home controls. You said there are real advancements in this area.

What are you doing differently and what are people expecting in a custom home today in that field?

Well, a lot of people want to be able to control their lights when they enter their home,

meaning they pull in their garage and have the garage.
