Hello, everyone, and welcome to the Girls'Camp podcast.

I'm your host, Haley Rawl, and in the spirit of spooky season, I decided today to tackle one of the spookiest topics of all Mormonism.

I'm only partially joking. I'm kind of trying to make this fit the theme because I'm actually

recording at night right now. If you're watching on YouTube, I have never done this

except for when I did

spooky stories last year, and I'll probably record those at night later this month as well.

But it worked out to record this at night. It is the month of October. Halloween is in the air.

And to be fair, Mormonism can be quite spooky. I've gathered an assortment of

Mormon-related things that I want to talk about today, so we're just going to do a mixed bag

of Mormon and Mormon-adjacent thoughts and feelings. The first thing I wanted to address,

which I have kind of touched on here and there, if you've

been following along closely. But I announced at the beginning of this year in January that I

was going to be pivoting the content of Girls Camp, of this podcast, away from Mormonism,

or at least from focusing so much on Mormonism. And I've actually been very self-conscious

because I keep finding myself drawn back to Mormon topics. And I do think I have expanded the topics

that we cover here. I do episodes where Mormonism is not the focus at all, but I'm kind of

surprised, I guess it's surprised me personally, how much I still feel like I have to say about

Mormon stuff. And I think a big part of it is because the world just keeps offering up things to talk about in the world of Mormonism. And I was feeling so

mired in Mormon stuff, which is why I wanted to make a pivot. And I wanted to do, the reason I made

it like some big announcement is because I really wanted to have a clean break from

the Mormon stuff. I just felt like that would make more sense. It seemed more clear to me just to be like,
