H. Rale. And there is a new sheriff in town, a new head bitch in charge, if you will,

of the Mormon Church, aka the Mormon Church, has just announced the new prophet, Dallin H. Oaks.

Dallin H. Oaks is a very controversial figure, one that I think even people inside the church

have been a bit iffy about because of some of the things that he has said and done.

And so we're going to talk today about the things that he has said and done. And so we're going to talk today about the things that he has said and done, as well as talk about who he chose as his first and

second counselor and how he became the prophet. Because I actually did not fully understand that

process until this very changing of the guards that has just happened.

So we're going to talk a little bit about that as well. I always say this when I'm about to do an

episode where I'm digging deep on someone. This is obviously a public figure. So I do think as far as

analyzing the things he has said and done,

that is obviously very fair game, especially because he's now in a position of immense power.

Not only for Mormon people, obviously for Mormon people, the position of most immense power,

as now the current mouthpiece of God, the prophet of God's one true

living church on earth, but also he's a major religious figure. He has been because he's been

an apostle for a long time. Now he's the prophet, and so we get to talk about that. But as I was

thinking about this and the level of respect or disrespect that I want to show this person,

and the more research I was doing on what this person has said and done, I settled on this metric.

I will be offering Dallin the same respect that he offers LGBTQ plus folks, which is not a lot. I'm not like going out

of my way to disrespect this man, but it was interesting to think about, you know, as I'm preparing

for this episode, like how snarky I'm going to get. This is an important man to some people.

But the more I read the things that he has said, especially I'm going to get. This is an important man to some people. But the more I read the things that he has said, especially about the queer community, the more I was like, you know, I don't think I owe this
