Hello and Chican Saints, Jared Halverson here.

Glad to have you back for more Book of Mormon.

And boy, do we have some Book of Mormon for you today?

Last week was a joy, honestly.

To be able to study Alma 32, absolute masterpiece, 33 and 34, incredible doctrine from Alma and

Amulek tag teaming like great missionary companions that they were. Today we are

building on that with another set of incredible chapters.

Alma 36, 37, 38.

We are in this interlude.

If you remember last week we ended in Alma 35

just with a very brief flyover letting us know that what's happening now is war is beginning.

There's been so much success on the Lord's side that the adversary has to crank things up and

be able to push back a little bit harder. And so with all of these conversion among the Lamanites with the help of the Sons of Mosiah, the whipping into shape of former apostate dissenters with the help of Alma and his mission companions so much movement

in the right direction that those that refuse to move, the Zoramites particularly, they are

stirring up Lamanites to go to battle against the Nephites.

And that will constitute the last 20 chapters or so of the Book of Alma.

These war chapters are already beginning.

But I'm so grateful that Mormon stuck in the middle of all

of this, this magnificent little interlude, where Alma teaches his three sons. We'll get two sons

today and then one final son next week and so these two weeks of
