0:00.0	Hello there. My name is Tyler Griffin and this is Scripture Study Insights by Scripture Central.
0:07.0	Today, Alma 13 through 16.
0:11.0	These particular chapters have some very, very difficult story elements in them.
0:19.0	And before we dive in and try to work our way through some of these
0:25.0	difficult chapters, I want to discuss very carefully a lifelong learning overlay that might make
0:35.3	a difference for some of you in finding greater breadth or greater depth in your
0:41.0	scripture study or in your teaching and your ability to interact with scriptures. So remember
0:49.7	that we've talked in the past about three distinct layers of our scriptures. There's
0:59.8	three worlds, three dimensions, if you will. There's the world under the scripture page,
1:06.3	the world that created these scriptures, hence the shape of a you here. We could even put it, you know,
1:13.4	underground level. It's a, it's the basement, the foundation that upholds these scriptures.
1:21.3	Then you have the world that lives on the scripture page, hence the shape of an O here, the walls and the floors
1:32.5	of this house structure. And then you have the world that is created above the scripture
1:40.5	page, the world you and I live in, the world that we get interpretation
1:47.4	from prophets, Sears and Revelators, where we get teachers and leaders and parents telling
1:54.7	how we can live our life. You'll notice these three dimensions or these three aspects of our scripture study, they're
2:04.3	all related. I want to focus as we cover Elma 13 through 16 today, I want to focus on this
2:13.1	middle layer, this world that resides on the scripture page. There are a lot more than just
2:24.4	words on that scripture page. Those words contain people and stories and examples and teachings.
2:35.0	But embedded within all of that are principles and doctrines,
2:44.0	teachings, truths.
2:48.0	Probably the simplest way to describe them would be that word right there, truths.
