loved recording. Today, our guest is Ali McLaughlin, Ali Mack, the great mountain runner from

Colorado Springs, Colorado, who has a really fun story and who has been on a tear recently,

winning the Broken Arrow vertical K,

finishing second at the Broken Arrow 26K, two days later. And then more impressively, just last week,

Ali smashed Mount Marathon, the legendary mountain race in Seward Alaska that takes place on July 4th every year.

It is some of the best must-see TV, the best race day broadcasting in the sport of trail running.

And this year, I was so excited to have a front row seat to watch Ali Mack put on a historic

performance.

Not only did she win, but she broke the course record set back in 2015 by the great Emily Forsberg by about 40 seconds, a legendary run

from Ali Mack. So it was super fun to talk about it. In addition to discussing Mount Marathon,

we also spent a bunch of time on Allie's

personal story, which I have to say was so fun. We didn't know each other well going into

the conversation, but found that we have a lot in common. And it turned into one of those

conversations where I just didn't look at my notes the whole time and the conversation just
