Welcome to our Rosary meditation.

Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

First, we have good news. We prayed for a little Patrick

Havarty, one-year-old having heart surgery last week and he has had a successful surgery and

I've posted a picture of him happy with his mom that you'll find in the show

notes or attached to the email.

We continue to pray in preparation for the very important surgery that little Olivia

Canili is going to have on September 20th.

And for the mother of a good friend who is in the hospital with pneumonia, her name is Marie for her full recovery.

In a powerful way, when we pray the Rosary, Mary and the Holy Spirit take us to those events and they

teach us about those events. So in our meditation today we're going to go with our lady to the Garden of

Gissimini, to the agony in the garden.

Matthew chapter 26, then Jesus came with them to a small estate called

disseminate and he said to his disciples, stay here while I go over there and pray. He then took Peter, James and John with him.

Now, Gassimini was a small estate at the foot of the Mount of Olives just on the outskirts of Jerusalem to the east,

and it was comprised of an olive grove and a cave in which there was an olive press and a cistern

for the oil.

This cave is where Jesus commanded eight of the Apostles to watch and pray,

while he took with him Peter James and John a very short distance away to the Olive Grove.
