This is the movement of the Holy Family. Today is the Feast of the Assumption of Mary when she was

0:07.4

taken up body and soul into heaven from Jerusalem. The assumption is not recorded in Scripture,

0:16.0

but we know it is true because the apostles were present at the home of Mary in Jerusalem

0:23.6

when her earthly life came to an end. Then they carried her body and placed it in a tomb near Gisemone,

0:31.6

and the apostles were witnesses to her bodily assumption into heaven. This rosary was prayed and recorded in the

0:42.5

Church of the Assumption in Jerusalem as we entered the empty tomb of Mary to place our candles

0:52.5

and consecrate our lives to her.

1:38.0

by the Holy Spirit to be with Mary before and during her glorious assumption.

1:44.1

In 1950, in honor of the 1900th anniversary of the Assumption, to be with Mary before and during her glorious assumption.

1:44.2

In 1950, in honor of the 1900th anniversary of the Assumption, Pope Pius XIus XIth, declared

1:50.4

the dogma of the Assumption of Mary.

1:53.6

St. Germanus of Constantinople in a homily given in the year 720, right here, where we stand, states that Mary's assumption into heaven was witnessed by

2:05.0

the apostles who could then confirm the truth with their authority. He writes this,

2:11.1

Your departure did not lack witnesses. Heaven tells the glory of those who ran to meet you then. Earth presents the truth about it.

2:21.5

The clouds cry out, the honor they paid you, and the angels tell of the offering of gifts that was made to you.

2:30.4

Then, when the apostles were at your side, as you passed away above Jerusalem,
