0:10.0	that you'll hear a lot around Silicon Valley these days. Can you feel the AGI? AGI is, of course,
0:17.4	artificial general intelligence, and while there are many different definitions,
0:21.9	and people actually fight a lot over the definition
0:24.2	because it turns out there's a lot at stake,
0:26.8	you could still broadly understand AGI
0:29.9	as the ability for an AI to replace human beings behind a screen.
0:36.2	That is, if the economy can't tell that we swapped out a human with an
0:41.0	AI, well, that's what AGI is. But what does it mean to feel the AGI? It means to feel the weight of
0:51.5	the massive wave coming over the horizon and heading towards us.
0:56.9	It's to take seriously the idea that AGI or something even more powerful is coming and soon.
1:04.0	Now, timelines vary. Sam Altman has said something like AGI could be built this year.
1:09.1	Anthropics Dario Amadei says next year, Demis Sissabas
1:12.3	of Google Deepvine gives it five to ten years. And in a recent blog post, the former
1:18.1	open AI researcher and now whistleblower Daniel Kokotelo predicts that we will have superhuman
1:23.7	intelligence by 2027. My guess is 2026, 27. Now, this can all feel like science fiction,
1:30.6	but we're living at a time when things that felt like science fiction just become real.
1:36.9	You know, I'm the co-founder of Earth Species Project, and we are using frontier AI to decode
1:42.1	animal communication, animal language, and we believe that'll
1:45.9	happen before 2030. So we have to take this all seriously. But it's also critical that we can
