2001, 9-11.

September, blue skies.

Right now, same blue skies, 23 years later.

We remember the attack, we remember the burning buildings, remember the

casualties, we remember George Bush the next day saying the people who did this and then standing on a rubble pile they're going to hear from us.

Well they did hear from us.

Soon enough the Bush administration launched special forces and began the Afghanistan War.

23 years later, I welcome Bill Rajo of this foundation for the defensive democracies.

He keeps the Long War Journal journal and Bill and his colleagues

have very carefully followed Afghanistan from those first instances of the

attack however there is a surprising story to tell that Afghanistan is now lost to the authority, the power, and the credibility of the United States of America.

It is three years since the... of the United States of America.

It is three years since the Biden administration made a decision to follow through on

a Trump administration decision to negotiate with the Taliban.

The Taliban is to my reading of the news on Long War Journal and when it is covered in the major news media,

Taliban is non-transparent and brutal, especially to young

women and their mothers, especially to any family who was associated with the long time of the US and its NATO allies in

Afghanistan.
