| 0:09.3 | welcome to day two of our series we're exploring this week. This week we are |
| 0:17.3 | exploring the theme of emotional intelligence. All too often these days, |
| 0:24.2 | especially in the media are abundant examples of how not to behave. It almost |
| 0:32.4 | seems as if the people who receive the most news have the least emotional |
| 0:39.0 | intelligence. But I'm sure you know many people who seem to remain composed |
| 0:48.4 | regardless of what's going on. They're often able to take criticism well and |
| 0:54.2 | come up with solutions to problems and even if a problem can't be solved. They |
| 1:00.5 | still honor and respect the process as well as the people they're interacting |
| 1:07.9 | with. Emotional intelligence encompasses many aspects of relating with others. |
| 1:15.4 | People who are in your circle of influence as well as people who you interact |
| 1:23.6 | with, but you don't necessarily have a relationship with them. Also emotional |
| 1:30.9 | intelligence has to do with how you view yourself. Throughout this week's |
| 1:35.8 | series you're going to touch on the many different types of emotional |
| 1:42.6 | intelligence. In today's episode you're going to be guided as you enhance your |
| 1:51.0 | emotional intelligence as it relates to your loved ones and those closest to you. |
| 1:57.6 | You also could use this technique with peers or co-workers. In fact it would be |
| 2:03.9 | an excellent way to improve your interactions with just about anyone. So I'm |
| 2:10.6 | going to share this process with you and then I'll guide you as you do it. You'll |
| 2:15.5 | also be repeating an affirmation because affirmations are a powerful way to |
| 2:22.6 | focus your thoughts on your intention and this can greatly enhance how you |
