Today we will be interviewing journalist Mark Ames, founder of the exile, exiled online, senior editor for not safe for work, and regular contributor to Pando Daily.

Mark lived in Russia and eventually started working on the satirical and hard-hitting paper The exile in the late 90s until is effectively shut down

by Moscow's media censorship arm in 2008. Recently, Mark has written regularly on the use of

libertarian ideology to help enable vulture capitalism and how publications like Reason magazine

were running Holocaust denial-related periodicals in the 70s. Silicon Valley has also

been a focus of Marx, where he's uncovered corrupt hiring practices and wage-fixing for beloved

Silicon Valley companies like Apple, Google, and even parts of the movie special effects tech sector.

His most controversial stories recently have evolved around the billionaire Piero Midiar, who

was the founder of First Look Media.

For the next hour, I will be having a discussion with Mark about his experience in Russia,

the completely ignored corrupt Boris Yeltsin administration after the fall of the Soviet

Union, and the complexities of the current information war in general.
