Hi and welcome back to another episode of the Truth Seekers podcast.

We are getting closer to Christmas as we count down the days of Advent.

Today is our 20th day.

I can already feel the joy and love and peace in my heart as we have been

focusing on Jesus and who he is and what he has done for us. After the wise men had met with

King Herod, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them

child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshipped him. Then they opened their treasures

and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense, and

myrrh.

In those days, gold, frankincense, and myr were very expensive gifts.

They would have cost a lot of money.

Only men who came from wealthy families were able to afford such expensive gifts. The wise men knew they were about to

meet a king, and they were wise because they knew that you do not come before a king empty-handed.

The gifts they presented to Jesus were costly because they knew the treasure that Jesus was.

They knew he was a king, and a king deserves a kingly gift. Jesus gave us the greatest

gift of all. The gift Jesus gave to us was costly. It cost his life so that we could live.

Jesus gift to us is life. It might cause you to think that was such a wonderful gift. How I ever repay him what could I give to a

king what can you give to a king the greatest gift you could give to Jesus is to

give him back the life he gave you to surrender your heart completely to him if he
