Hello and welcome back to another episode of the Truth Seekers podcast.

Today is the 13th day of Advent as we prepare our hearts to celebrate Jesus this Christmas season.

When the shepherds heard the good news that the Messiah had

come, they said to one another, let us go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened,

which the Lord has told us about. They hurried to see the baby Jesus and found him lying in the

manger just as the angel had said. So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph and the baby, who was lying in the manger.

When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child,

and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherd said to them.

Do you know that the shepherds were not only the first

to hear the good news about Jesus, the Messiah? They were the first to spread the good news

about Jesus, the Messiah. They knew they could not keep this good news to themselves. They had to share

it. The Messiah had come and he was not to be kept a secret.

When the people heard what the shepherds had to say, they were amazed by what they heard.

Can you imagine hearing the story straight from the shepherd's mouths about angels, greetings,

and choirs in the sky? The shepherds had been entrusted with a very important

message, and they knew they must share it. You and I have been given a very important message,

too. All of the men and women who saw Jesus and witnessed his death and resurrection spread

the good news with others. The good news was written down and now

we have it in our Bibles. If you have a Bible, you have the good news in your hands. Should

we keep this good news to ourselves? No. Just as the shepherd shared the good news with

others around them, so we too should share it.
