I definitely like was not smart with money like I just took out more than I needed to and I remember my brother telling me at the time he's like you don't have to take out everything they give you and I'm like oh I don't like I don't have to take it all I can give some of it back right like when they

told me I can have $10,000 for the year I don't have to take all of that and I didn't

even didn't even register at that time just because it was the first time in my life that I had some of my own money that it like it felt good to be honest so I was using it and I was spending it and I wasn't budgeting I wasn't keeping track of anything I didn't really even know how to do that like I had

people and to to not bring all this like embarrassment and shame and emotion along with it because that's

what I felt like when I left school and I had 50,000000 of debt. I immediately knew I needed to get a job. I needed to start

paying that. So I got my corporate job, was being paid pretty well in that corporate job.

And again, first time in my life

And I'm like, I don't want to pay off this debt.

I want to be able to buy the almond butter if I want it.

This is the first time in my life that I can spend $7 on

And so I wasn't really tracking my money I was just

kind of spending what I had I was paying the minimum payments on my student loan

which put me at about a 28 year repayment plan, which I thought was normal.

I was like, oh, okay, I'm just gonna like graduate with all of this debt.

I'm gonna pay this off for the rest of my life. I'll probably still have this when my kids go to school.
