The Whole Council of God. Father Stephen is a former Protestant pastor and Bible teacher in the

Reformed Church, but now an Orthodox priest serving at Archangel Gabriel Orthodox Church

in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Okay, so we'll get started in just a second,

and when we get started, we'll be picking up at the beginning of Acts chapter four.

As usual, I'll point out that by the time people are hearing this online,

the first three chapters will be posted in podcast form so you can go back and listen to the first episode and hear my introduction to the

book of the Acts of the Apostles. Just to get us caught up to where we are right now.

Essentially, in the first chapter, the Book of Acts, we saw St. Luke narrated again

after the end of his gospel.

He narrated again Christ's ascension into heaven.

And then chapter two, we saw the events of

Pentecost and St. Peter preaching his sermon there and sort of the mass

conversions that took place we heard a little about the beginnings of the

early life of the Christian community in Jerusalem as it was growing. And then in chapter three that we talked about last

time, we saw St. Peter and John were walking to go to the temple for prayer and encountered a man

who couldn't walk, who asked them for some money.

They pointed out they didn't have any money, but they healed him and restored his ability

to walk.

And this event drew a crowd.

And so St. Peter used that opportunity to preach to the crowd once again about
