Already one person, an officer, has been shot. It's a very fluid situation.

Let me get up on the screen with the news.

This is the area where the CDC is, the Senate for the disease control, unknown why they were targeted.

With an alert from Emory University, close proximity to the scene where this is happening

at the CVS at Emory Point, just after 5 o'clock, an alert was sent out by the university

telling people that there was an active shooter situation and to run, hide, fight. It was then that

we started to see this massive law enforcement presence focusing around the building. At one point,

we saw officers with guns drawn. They were taking cover behind a dumpster there as they focused

in on the building. And here's a map just showing you an overhead

view to really just highlight what we're looking at here. There at the top left of your screen

is Emory Point. That is where the CVS is. This is where it appears to have all happened. And then

just across the street, the CDC headquarters, and then also as Stone's Thore is

Emory University's campus.

So all of these things just intertwined.

And also just a few minutes ago, our Deidre Duke said that she is hearing from her law enforcement

sources that there may be multiple scenes involved.

I mean, if you ever driven in this area, especially in the morning, you might have an appointment at Emory University, doctor's appointment or something going on there.

You know how busy this area is. I mean, there is traffic along the Clifton Road corridor at all times.
