Now, I think of acceptance as a tooth-and-nail artist a couple of decades in the making.

They've just made and released their first album on tooth and nail,

and it's called Wild Free, but it was right here in the Seattle-Tacoma area where Acceptance was

founded and right at the time that Tooth and nail was transitioning to the new sound and the

explosion of the second generation of artists that they were having. Now, Acceptance, who were first generation

tooth and nail kids, became a flagship Seattle band and teamed up with Aaron Sprinkle, but instead

of taking the indie path, they were one of the first bands to be scooped up by a major label

right off the bat, and in a lot of ways, there were guinea pigs for that whole experiment. They

created a landmark album called Phantoms that would be a legend of the scene, but the band would never truly find a groove before disbanding in 2006.

But their music would continue to rise in popularity thereafter.
