The Jets have announced that they have hired Brian Duker as their new defensive coordinator.

Duker spent the last two seasons with the division rival Miami Dolphins as their secondary

coach and past game coordinator. Prior to that, he spent three years on the Detroit Lions

defensive coaching staff

working under Aaron Glenn. Duker is not a guy with a ton of experience. He started in the

NFL as a coach back in 2015 with the Browns as an intern. He then had some low level jobs up until

he was hired by the Detroit Lions in 2021 as a defensive assistant, then was promoted
