And what Aaron Glenn needs to do if he wants to turn his coaching tenure around. And that's where

we will begin, our first question. John, my question is in a world where Aaron Glenn can be successful as a head

coach, despite the year one struggles. What does that look like? Is it being in the playoffs or just

being competitive? For my money, it seems like even in the best case scenario, Glenn will just

be paving the way for the next good Jets coach or team. What are your

thoughts? Well, if you're listening to this podcast on a daily basis, you know that I am not

particularly optimistic about Aaron Glenn, but I've been wrong in the past. And sometimes there

have been turnaround stories in the NFL, coaches who seemed hopeless, who managed to get it right.

I think that there are a couple of things that come to mind for me about what Glenn needs to do.

First is there needs to be a more cohesive approach to team building.

I feel like looking back, a lot of what the Jets did last off season just did not make a

whole lot of sense. And, you know, I could look at what they did at the quarterback position with

Justin Fields. When the Jets signed him, a two-year contract, $30 million guaranteed annual salary

of $20 million. It was controversial. There were some fans who loved it a lot.
