What's the last time you had a really horrific event unfold and you realize,

shit, that's like 20 seconds away.

Okay, 20 minutes, but still way too close for comfort.

For me, that's a close tie between the Boston bombing, which obviously happened in Boston, but some of the injured were taken to a hospital that I worked at, sometimes at the

time, which was too close.

Then there was the murder in Danvers, which is where I go shopping when forced to head to a mall.

It's where Emily's dentist is...

It's right there.

And that was terrifying.
